1Overview
The South Korea e-Arrival Card is a digital entry declaration that replaces the paper arrival card. It is not a visa or travel authorization and does not grant permission to enter.
It covers visits for tourism, business, family visits and short-term study. How long you may stay depends on your nationality's visa-waiver terms, not on the card.
Who needs it
- Most foreign travelers need it, including visa-exempt nationals not covered by the K-ETA, and K-ETA-exempt travelers who enter on a visa still file it.
- Valid K-ETA holders do not need it.
- Passengers who stay airside (for example Incheon's transit area) and do not clear immigration do not need it.
- Children aged 14 or under are declared by a family member or representative.

?Questions about South Korea e-Arrival Card
Do I need a K-ETA or the e-Arrival Card?
Most travelers must file the card within 72 hours before arrival. Valid K-ETA holders are exempt.
How do I receive it?
By email after approval. It is linked digitally to your passport, so there is no sticker or paper.
How long can I stay?
The card is a declaration, not a visa. Stay depends on your nationality's visa-waiver agreement.
Can one card be used for multiple entries?
No. Each trip needs a new card. Frequent travelers may prefer a K-ETA, which is valid for multiple entries over three years.
What causes denials?
Mismatched passport data, an invalid Korean address, or a flight number that does not match your itinerary.
What if I don't complete it in advance?
You must fill one out on landing; doing it in advance helps avoid queues.

K-ETA holders skip the card; others file it.
