The Saudi Arabia ETA is an electronic authorisation linked to the passport, with nothing to print. It covers tourism, business visits, short-term study, medical treatment and Umrah outside the Hajj season.
It does not allow work, residence or Hajj.
Who needs it
- Available only to eligible UK passport holders; other passports need a different Saudi visa or authorisation.
- Airside transit does not need it; leaving the transit area and passing immigration requires a valid ETA or other entry document.
- Former Electronic Visa Waiver users should apply for the ETA, as the waiver ended on 1 July 2026.
