1Overview
The Oman eVisa for GCC Residents (Type 29A) is a non-sponsored tourist visa for expatriates living in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar or Bahrain.
It is available to residents whose profession appears on the Royal Oman Police (ROP) approved list.
Who needs it
- Needed by GCC residents with an ROP-approved profession, or anyone not qualifying for visa-free entry.
- GCC citizens enter with their National ID, and citizens of 103 countries can enter visa-free for 14 days with a hotel booking, health insurance and return ticket.
- For List 2 nationals living in the GCC (examples: India, Jordan, Egypt, Philippines), the 14-day entry needs a valid US, UK, Canada, Japan or Schengen visa or residency, or GCC residency in an approved profession; it cannot be extended.
- Partners and children apply for a Companion version and do not need an approved profession; children need a valid GCC residence permit.
- Indian citizens: India is only named as a List 2 country.
